MSDC Announce a New Partnership for healing the planet.

Plantae Environmental Inc. and the Metis Settlements Development Corporation are proud to announce their new joint venture partnership.

Plantae Environmental Inc., a sustainable materials company and a leader in utilizing plant fibres to heal damaged environments and the Métis Settlements Development Corporation (MSDC) are proud to announce a transformative partnership. This partnership will build markets across Canada for Plantae’s unique technologies, build an indigenous supply chain for accessing plant fibres through a procurement initiative and work to build internal capacity for Indigenous employment in all aspects of the company from leadership to science.

Plantae Sikikin promotes the alignment of Indigenous values and knowledge in addressing environmental challenges across all sectors, industries, and lands.  Our work is to build a network of change toward embracing more nature-based alternatives to civil, resource and industrial applications from inception to reclamation.

“We share a common ground in our philosophy – ‘to walk softly on the earth’ – the same indigenous values that cared for nature over thousands of years are now a core part of our sustainable technology. We are excited to collaborate with the Metis Settlements Development Corporation in Plantae Sikikin”, Ian Wilson, CEO, Plantae Environmental.

“We believe in that the shared vision for a sustainable future for our planet, builds a strong partnership for the advancement of the Plantae technology and a unique economic opportunity for the Metis Settlements Limited Partnership.  Plantae’s commitment to the environment and to reconciliation support building a partnership focused on people, planet, purpose and profit.”, Barbara McKenzie, CEO, Metis Settlements Development Corporation

Plantae’s mission is to harness the power of nature. We help heal damaged environments and build the materials of the future. We design from natural principles to solve today’s problems without creating new problems for tomorrow. In this way, we cultivate hope.

Our business is modelled on nature. We have a proprietary technology that releases the most potential in natural fibres and we are the only company in the world to use this platform for the widest possible applications from resource extraction and environmental products to sustainable packaging and biocomposites.
